Composite Mouldings Ltd (CML) is pleased to announce receipt of an order to build plugs, tooling and mouldings for two new 16m Pilot Boats for Harwich Haven Authority in partnership with Holyhead Marine. CML were able to beat off strong competition from other European competitors to keep the build of the tooling for this new design in the UK.

 “Like many builders we try to cater for both commercial and pleasure clients and up until recently we have not been able to compete with European builders prices” says managing director Warwick Buckley “Ultimately the poor exchange rate has worked in our favour but we consider ourselves very lucky to have such a strong relationship with Holyhead Marine and to be able to add another product to the range being built by CML for our clients”

Peter Byrne from Holyhead Marine says “We are looking forward to continuing our good working relationship with CML built up over previous projects and also developing our strict laminate management regime, designed to keep mouldings within tight design tolerances which has proved successful in the past.”

In addition to this new order CML continue to also build from their standard range and customised commissions.

CML manufacture Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), Fibre Reinforced Polyester (FRP) mould tools, plugs and high quality mouldings at their Marchwood, Southampton factory for Marine, Industrial and Architectural clients.
