Description

26 x Historic display boards in and around Southampton Old town wall ruins.

Specification

The specification for the panels: outdoor use, weather resistant, fire retardant, anti graffiti, UV Stable.

Expected Life Cycle

25 years

Materials

CML used a DSM Firestop 5000-S-9747 gelcoat colour matched to colour “Southampton Stone” this was backed up with a 489PA/Prefil F, fire retardant resin system. After printing, the panels were coated with a Durepox - Repel coating system that was both anti graffiti resistant and UV stable.

The new panels were designed to be slightly bigger and to fit over the old boards. After the old boards were keyed up the new ones were glued on with an acrylic bonding adhesive called Plexus MA425.
